DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
  • A. Work will be under one contract.
  • B. Demolition work includes air handling unit, vav boxes, fan coil units, unit ventilators, exhaust
    fans, boiler, chiller, cooling tower, and pumps in the JSCC McWherter Building.
  • C. Work includes new air handling unit, vav boxes fan coil units, unit ventilators, exhaust fans,
    boiler, chiller, cooling tower, pumps, DDC controls, and related electrical work in the JSCC McWherter Building.
  • D. Building will be vacated by the Owner. Contractor will have full access to the building.
  • E. Sequencing may be adjusted by the Contractor to optimize completion of work if approved by Owner. Contractor is to submit proposed construction schedule to Owner and Designer for approval with start and end dates with substantial completion dates within 21 days after
    Notice to Proceed. Overall completion date shall remain 95 days.
  • F. Prior to beginning work in each area:
    • 1. Contractor shall prepare each area for construction. Furniture and contents shall remain and shall be protected from damage by Contractor.
  • G. Upon completion of work Contractor shall remove protection and clean areas.
  • A. All work shall be confined to the designated areas.
  • B. Contractor shall be responsible for securing the building if he uses entrance before or after
    hours or on the weekend.
  • C. Contractor shall maintain a minimum of two exits from first floor at all times. Contractor to
    provide temporary exit signs to direct occupants to accessible exits.
  • D. Elevator shall remain accessible and operational during all phases.
